Applicants should be at least sophomores at the time of participation in the program. They should be in good standing at their home college/university.  Admission is granted on a rolling basis; that is action is taken on each individual student when all materials are received. A complete application consists of items listed below. ► Program Application: must be accompanied by a $30.00 check or money order to cover the non-refundable application fee. Please make check payable to: OIA - Kent State University.

► Transient Student Application is required of all non-Kent State University students and must be accompanied by a $10.00 check or money order to cover the non-refundable matriculation fee. Please make check payable to OIA-Kent State University. You may send a single check to cover both matriculation and application fees.

► Transcripts covering all college/university work must be submitted to OIA.

► Transcript Release authorization must be signed so your grades at the end of the semester can be sent to you and to your home school registrar.

► Letters of Recommendation: Two (2) from college/university faculty members who have had you as a student.

► Agreement Release: must accompany the application.

► Photographs: Six (6). They must be nearly identical to those required for your Passport. Photographs should have a light background. Unacceptable photos will be returned, and will delay your application process.

► Parental Permission Form is required of students who are under the age of majority in their state of residence (18 years of age in Ohio).
