2012 Program Events

Artists Recital – Friday evening, June 8, 2012 is the concert not to miss! Enjoyment for all with the teachers practicing what they preach!

Oboe Fundamentals – Morning sessions will stress tone-building, phrasing, articulation and ornamentation.  Barret and Ferling etudes, solo repertory and yes, reed making!

Audition Repertory – Orchestral excerpts that often cost the oboist his job will come under intense scrutiny during the evening masterclasses.

Recital Literature – Several oboists will be chosen to perform solo literature, in a master class setting, to allow others to gain both repertory experience and exposure to different teaching methods.

Recording Master Class – Thomas C. Moore, oboist and producer for Five/Four Productions gives us pointers and insights for recording the oboe.

Optional Solo Reading Sessions - Our collaborative pianist is happy to sight read through literature that you bring to camp. There is a sign up at the beginning of the week so go ahead and bring your music.

Instrument Repair –  We are pleased to have oboe repairman John Symer with us again this summer. Mr. Symer will be available to provide adjustments and minor repairs to the instrument you play in class. There is no charge to campers for this service. There will also be a seminar in oboe adjustment.

Free Day Activities –hiking and golfing can be arranged. Golfers bring your clubs!
